On Tuesday 18 February, HITRAF received a visit from Mr. Hisanori Yagami, Marketing Development Manager at Komatsu Japan, and r. Jürgen Munz, Managing Director of Komatsu Forest Germany. The visit started with a work meeting at our Head Quarters, where HITRAF Management and Komatsu Forest delagates analyzed the evolution of the Forestry industry in Spain and the strategic position of Komatsu Forest brand in the Spanish Market. This know-how exchange is key for our organizations to continuing improving for being one step ahead of the rest of the market.
Komatsu Forest Delegates visited our facilities in Vila de Cruces, guided by HITRAF’s CEO César Sánchez and they were able to learn firsthand about our strong commitment to the Forestry industry and about the professional and quality of our tecnical service we give to our customers.
One of the main remarks Komatsu Delegates pointed out about their visit was the quality of HITRAF’s technical assitance. Both Hisanori Yagami and Jürgen Munz highlighted the professional expertise of HITRAF’s Technical team, as well as their fast and efficient customer support. In addition, they highlighted that having an excellent after-sales service is decisive for ensuring a highest performance of our Forestry machinery plus, of course, a highest satisfaction of Forestry professionals. This recognition reinforces the job HITRAF has been performing for years to offer comprehensive solutions that go beyond equipment sales, ensuring top-level technical support.

After visiting our facilities, Komatsu Forest Delegates had the opportunity to witness the machinery’s performance in real working conditions. Since Galicia’s Region harvests the 54% of all the wood in Spain it is fundamental for all agents involved to understand the forestry industry’s particularities as well as the specific demands faced by forestry professionals.
During the tour, they were able to see in action a Komatsu 931 6WD harvester and a Komatsu 855 8WD forwarder from Maderas Fernández, operating in Lalín (Pontevedra). They then moved to Boqueixón (A Coruña), where they witnessed the work of a Komatsu 951 6WD harvester and the Komatsu 875 8WD forwarder from Forestal Gonzar. These demonstrations allowed Komatsu Delegates to analyze the performance of our equipment in a forestry environment characterized by uneven terrain, steep slopes, and variable weather conditions – key factors that determine the machinery’s effectiveness and efficiency in this market.
The day has been an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the forestry market and gain a closer understanding of the sector’s needs in Galicia. At HITRAF, we continue to work to offer the best solutions to our customers and strengthen our position as a leader in the forestry machinery field in Spain.
